SLPUM Strengthens Churches Through Accurate Membership Records

Aug 20, 2025 | News

In its commitment to strengthen churches through accurate, timely, and reliable membership records, the Southern Luzon Philippine Union Mission (SLPUM) facilitated the Adventist Church Management System (ACMS) Workshop. The training gathered executive secretaries, administrative assistants handling membership, and ACMS coordinators from across the territory.

Recognizing the vital role of reliable data, SLPUM encouraged each mission to appoint an ACMS coordinator dedicated to oversee the system and work closely with local church clerks. This underscores the Union’s serious commitment to integrity and consistency in church records.

The mission of ACMS is clear: “To provide accurate, timely, and reliable records that empower churches to care, connect, and minister effectively.” Its vision reflects the heart of the church: “To build caring churches—where each is a member, not a number.”

Pastor Danilo Fiecas, SLPUM Executive Secretary, reminded participants: “By maintaining accurate records, you help ensure that every member is cared for, remembered, and included in the fellowship of believers. Your role supports the nurturing of souls within the church.”

Participants were also reminded that ACMS goes beyond simple data entry. By properly classifying members—whether active, attending another congregation, missing, homebound, or in need of special care—churches are able to minister more effectively and plan strategically for growth.

Through initiatives like this, SLPUM affirms that records are not just numbers, but lives entrusted to the care of the church—ensuring that the church remains both organized and truly member-centered.
